This year, Susan Beal's Pow Magnet project inspired the Christmas gift for TOWTP. I bought the felt (some stiff kind) that had glitter and pretty much created an exact replica of the project in the book (I used hot glue instead of fabric glue and sticky adhesive magnetic sheets). Pattern templates are available in the back which makes this a nearly mindless craft. Perfect to do while watching television.
If I was feeling more creative, I would have made some with different onomatopoeias (kaboom, zing, and pfft are some of my favorites). I also think one with $#!? or bazinga would be awesome.
The whole thing was completed quickly (no longer than an episode of Farscape), which means a trip to the dollar store to get some headbands to make something similar to these hair clips may be in order. I link up to these parties.
