Anniversary Gift Ideas {Year 50}

The big one is finally here!  50 years of marriage.  At K & K's wedding, there was a collection of wedding photos from all the family members.  The total for K & K's relatives was 674 years of marriage.  Impressive!  Bigbad Italian grandparents have made up 57 of those years (Bigbad and I made up 4!).

There was a cute wedding idea at K & K's wedding reception to write notes of predictions, advice, and jokes and drop them into wine bottles painted with the numbers 1, 5, 10, 25, and 50.  Each number represented the anniversary that they would break that bottle and read the notes.

I pray with my whole heart for a satisfying and healthy long-lasting marriage.  I can imagine on our 50th anniversary, Bigbad and I will sit and reminisce with memories over the span of half a century.  We don't have a wine bottle of notes to break open, but we will hopefully have our memories, our photos, and our stories to fill us up to the brim of enduring love.
