[Exhibit A], [Exhibit B], and [Exhibit C]
This project took off the ground when I found a set of nesting crates at the craft store. After painting them oh six or seven times and lots of sanding sessions, they looked sufficiently distressed and complemented the boho scrapbooking paper I mod podged on. Because I can appreciate buying something new as long as I make it look like its 30 years old. That's my vintage eclectic aesthetic you know.
I loved the look of the book jewelry display from Sincerely Kinsey, but since my jewelry is kept in the bathroom, I didn't want to worry about mildewy pages. Instead I borrowed the idea of using the knobs (and squirreled away my love for that open book display for another project idea). I painted the knobs a fun turquoise matching the paper and covered one knob with buttons galore.
A Time for Everything's spools, so I opted for some thimbles to hold my rings. The cylindrical wooden box is a gift from Tempest Mermaid and also holds some rings.
