DIY: Halloween Wine Charms

To be honest, these wine charms aren't just a Halloween item.  In the Bigbad house, they may be all-year charms.  Either way, these are so frighteningly simple.  Be the clown or the menace at the next party.

poisonous, toxic tonic wine charms.  Drinker beware!
The labels came from a strip of Halloween scrapbooking embellishments.  The whole pack was probably less than $3.  This is maybe 1/16 of the entire package.  Although I did cheapo laminating (packing tape), these aren't water proof.  I did want to give them some resistance to a few dribble spills.

I worried about the metal wire to make the charm go around the glass stem.  But I found memory wire at the craft store.  It's basically a tiny slinky wire coil.  I just cut it with wire cutters to make tiny key rings.  Instead of keys, they provide handy labels.

Because you never know when a malevolent, foul-purposed Bigbad might be trying to poison the illiterate.

Or if you come across this guy.
Unless you've spent the last several years building up a resistance to iocane powder.
Inconceivable!

Ha, I love malevolent Bigbad! These are definitely NOT just for Halloween. Poison labels are fun! I keep my vitamins in glass jars labeled with these little beauties: http://www.spookshows.com/poison/poison.htm (Real names of the vitamins, dosages, and expirations dates are on the bottom of each jar, naturally.)
